asDunas was phenomenal in every respect. It's the product of Fabio and Elena's unrelenting focus on detail. It is calmly, unpretentiously luxurious and utterly sublime. There are no coincidences - the whole experience of staying there has been re-imagined from the ground up, and all the elements combine into something unique, and truly special.

Local ingredients are expertly crafted into a cornucopia of gastronomic delights and culminated in a daily 5 course tasting menu at dinner that rivals any dining establishment we've been to. Where other lodges would have rehashed a few tired cocktails, asDunas has created a menu from scratch, incorporating local flavours and concepts.

The food and drink were truly world class.

The rooms were stunning - our "safari suite" was well appointed and expertly designed and built to unobtrusively blend into the miombo scrub. The beaches were idyllic, vast and utterly devoid of other people.

In short, book it now. For as long as you can. They can't keep something this good under wraps for much longer.

My wife and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Asdunas. It far exceeded all of our expectations. 

Every aspect is fantastic: the beautifully designed rooms set in indigenous bush on the side of a sand dune overlooking the Bazaruto archipelago, truly amazing Italian inspired multi course meals, delicious wine and cocktails, easy access to activities on the archipelago and the airport and a few very special extras - massages, sundowners on the dunes, great tour recommendations, being met on the beach with a drink after a boat trip..

But the number one thing for us was the service and attention to detail. And this is all down to Elena and Fabio. They have created a lodge where from the moment you get off the plane to making sure you are checked in for your departing flight - everything is thought of and looked after. They are supported but a very attentive staff in creating a place where they literally sort everything out. No check in desks, no phoning to sign up for activities, never have to worry about queuing for a drink at the bar, no carrying cash around, everything is taken care of. Even when full (12 guests) it still feels like a private lodge. And even then, they still went above and beyond on several occasions for which we are very grateful! 

It was such a wonderful trip and we hope to be back one day for our anniversary!

We decided to end our month long holiday with a four night stay at asDunas and our only regret is that we didn’t stay for the whole week!
From the moment we arrived, we knew it was the perfect way to relax, unwind and forget about the rest of the world. Elena and Fabio have gotten this down to a fine art - everything had been considered. The rooms were perfect - very comfortable without overdoing it; luxurious but simple. Sleeping with the breeze and open air was so nice! We spent three dreamy days waking up to a beautiful sunrise, followed by a morning walk, cold & hot breakfasts (delicious!), a massage and then a day of relaxing and ocean/pool swims, broken up by a 3 course lunch and 5 course tasting dinner, all of which changed every day. Although we enjoyed cocktails by our plunge pool, we took advantage of the large communal infinity pool, its wider views and the direct access to the bar for a very good afternoon! But by far the most memorable moments were connecting with Elena, Fabio and the staff. You guys are legends and you did such an amazing job making us feel special and cared for. We wish more people were like you and miss you already! You were so passionate about the local community as well, which was heartwarming and inspiring. 
Don’t second guess any thoughts of visiting asDunas. It was a dream holiday within a dream holiday; the perfect way to finish up our trip, and an experience we’ll never forget. We hope to visit again someday in the future and can’t thank Elena, Fabio and the team for all that they did for us!

We spent 8 nights at asDunas, and we were totally blown away with the whole experience (and still are!!). Fabio and Elena are truly wonderful hosts, so warm, friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay one you will never forget. 
They have sensitively engaged with the local community, and employed an incredible team of local people - and all of them are a true credit to this gem of a Lodge. The whole experience from the airport pick up, to the warm welcome and settling in made you feel instantly at home. 
The cuisine is superb, from the stunning breakfast to the Mediterranean tinged lunch and dinners, all served with an immaculate and unique touch. Our wine glasses were never empty, and the service was impeccable.
We enjoyed various activities, from walking along the beautiful beach, swimming in the crystal clear sea, an incredible boat trip to Bazaruto and surrounding islands, and not to mention the incredible sunsets (with cocktails!) at the nearby dunes. 
The accommodation was amazing, and had everything we needed, and it was kept immaculate by the staff. 
We have been fortunate to travel to many wonderful places all around the world, and asDunas is a definite highlight.

Nous avons séjourné 5 nuits en Octobre 2019 dans ce magnifique endroit au bord de l'océan Indien à 2 pas de Vilanculos. L'accueil et la prise en charge durant tout le séjour par Elena et Fabio (propriétaires 'italien' du lieu) a été en tous points remarquable. Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'ambiance familliale de ce Lodge avec seulement un maximum de 12 personnes (6 bungallows). La variante 'All Inclusive' est parfaite avec des repas succulents (à la mode 'italienne') préparés avec beaucoup d'originalité et de finesse, accompagnés d'excellents vins italiens. Toute l'équipe (cuisine, serveurs, spa, gardiens, etc..) est d'une gentillesse absolue. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la proximité avec Elena et Fabio où l'on peut échanger beaucoup sur le lieu et la vie en générale dans la région. La variante comprend aussi 1 massage par jour, qui est un vrai moment de détente. Merci à Elena de nous avoir permis, ensemble avec toi, de visiter le marché et le centre ville. On y découvre la vie locale. L'aménagement du lieu dans la verdure, le bord de mer en contrebas, apéritifs au coucher de soleil sur les dunes, est d'une beauté extraordinaire avec des couleurs qui changent selon les heures de la journée et les moments de marée haute & basse. On a la possibilité d'effectuer de très longues marches au bord de l'océan dans un cadre grandiose. On a qu'une envie c'est d'y retourner au plus vite.
