ISLANDS BOAT TRIPS & SNORKELING

Several local operators organize daily trips to the Islands of the Archipelago, where you can safely snorkel or go on a short trek between the white dunes and virgin wild forest.

WALES WATCHING

Between July and September the Bazaruto Archipelago area is populated by hundreds of whales coming from the South Pole to procreate and wean their young. During this period, sighting trips with motor boats are organized daily, followed by picnics on the islands.

DEEP SEA FISHING

Bazaruto Archipelago became a National Park in 1971 and a strong marine conservation policy warranted a maximum sustainability of its prize catch. The Archipelago is now renowned as Africa’s most productive area for several marlin’s species and other big fishes.

SCUBA DIVING

Scuba activities are organized for beginners/advanced certified divers by a PADI operator with decades of experience in the area; all dive sites are located within the Bazaruto Archipelago in three different areas (2miles reef, 5miles reef, Cabo Sao Sebastian).

KITESURFING

Vilanculos Bay is a world famous location for kitesurfing; several international schools offer lessons to beginners and rent the latest full gear for practicing.

RIDING

A Zimbabwean-international school with decades of experience in Mozambique organizes horseback rides on the Vilanculos beach or inside the bush; it’s suitable for different levels.
